Having undergone a momentous name change from Hidayatul Islam, the Baitun Noor Madressah held its annual Jalsa on Friday, 29th November at its eponymous hall.
During it, students of all ages, including the madressah’s adult revert class, performed plays and did Islamic recitations like Qiraat, Naat and Manqabat.
Principal Hafez Ahmed Husain Abrahams spoke of how the madressah persevered and overcame its challenges in 2019 whilst emphasizing to parents in attendance the importance of Islamic education in a practical and spiritual sense for the students’ lives going forward.
The event concluded with an awards ceremony led by guest of honour Hazrat Irfan Ali Shah.
