Maza Dance Academy directed and founded by the gorgeous Ushma Mahabeer, hosted a beautiful full house dinner and dance at the Greek Hellenic Hall, New Redruth, Alberton on 12th October 2019. A night packed with laughter, smiles, dance, competitions, yummy food and a party night at the venue. Indian Consulate General Mr Balwant Thakur was present for the evening, he was thrown into the deep end to sing a karaoke with other members who joined in the fun. He wowed the crowd with his captivating voice. Narita Pusad and Priyal Sewburn were the photographer and videographer for the evening where Pursad had a photobooth with props for people to have some fun with while taking pictures. Mahabeer’s backbone is her courageous husband Vikesh. Dance items were choregraphed by two teachers who have been doing a phenomenal job, Karishma Diar, a Bharatanatyam teacher and Bhavisha Natha, a Kathak teacher. Songs were sung by two well-known singers Bushan Dass and Ridwaan Dawood, MC by Keshni Yelumalay.
