Iman Jhetam and Aarifah Loonat took 1st and 2nd positions respectively at the Association of Muslim Schools (AMS) Matric 2019 Awards on Sunday, 2nd February at the Nizamiye Masjid Complex in Midrand.
The duo were top achievers from Lenasia Muslim School (LMS) who scooped many other accolades at the ceremony which honours matric trailblazers in the inland province. Jhetam was also the overall top-achiever in Accounting and Afrikaans whilst Loonat was the best in Maths and Physics. The school’s Ziyaad Moola won the Akhlaaq Award and his classmate Muhammad Nanabhay won the Islamiaat Award. They can be seen in photo with LMS Primary School Headmaster Mr. Ebrahim Mia at the ceremony.
