Masjid Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jilani this year celebrated its 14th Annual Meelad-un-Nabi (Sallalahu Alaihi Wasallam) with much grandeur. Its alluring green dome and evocative architecture memorializes the beautiful city of Madinah Shareef. This masjid replicates an image of Masjid-un-Nabawi (The beloved Prophet Muhammad’s {Peace Be Upon Him} grand masjid in Madinah Shareef). The dazzling interior and luxurious carpets further enriches the structure.
The illustrious gathering was commemorated with a Zikr e Qadriya, on Saturday night, 8th February 2020. This was followed by a Naath Programme in which melodious praises of the Prophet (PBUH) was recited by leading local Naath reciters.
On Sunday, 9th February 2020, the programme commenced with items that were presented by the students of Madressa Mohammadiya Qadriya. Guest Speaker, Moulana Abdul Hadi Qadri of KZN, delivered an awe-inspiring lecture. World renowned Naat reciter, Al Haaj Owais Raza Qadri of Pakistan, captivated the audience with his beautiful renditions. The gathering saw many prominent Ulema & Khalifas in presence.
