Teachers Learning Centre (TLC) in conjunction with LMA and Grade R Nursery School are proud to announce the launch of a TLC Early Childhood Development (ECD) training centre in Lenasia.
“Starting in the first Saturday in April we will be offering the Level 4 NQF (SAQA ID no 58761) Further Education Training Certificate (FETC) in Early Childhood Development (ECD) National qualification to all prospective ECD practitioners in Lenasia and surrounding areas,” said a TLC representative, adding: “As TLC’s passion is to reach as many unqualified ECD practitioners in as many communities as possible, so as to create the best start for our future generations, LMA being a CBS site in partnership with TLC agreed that what better way to serve its community than to give TLC a platform to bring this much needed qualification on our doorstep to help people better themselves or existing ECD practitioners to enhance their qualifications.
“TLC is a professional, accredited Training Institute that has been existence since 2008 starting our first training course with humble beginnings in Glenvista in a garage with 20 learners. Since then in partnerships like what we have with LMA, we have grown substantially to be able to have offered training in over 29 centres across all provinces except Northern Cape. Over 1300 learners have successfully qualified with either the Level 4 or Level 5 ECD qualifications.
“Our ECD courses are practical, relevant to the South African context and lead to a recognised national professional qualification. All our TLC programmes are facilitated by highly qualified adult educators and specialists who have many years of experience in the ECD field.”
Minimum entry requirements are a Grade 10 qualification. All students must be able to read, understand, speak and write in English. The Level 4 course will be starting on Saturday, 4th April 2020. Classes are from 9:00-13:00 at LMA Nursery School 17 Swan Street Lenasia Ext 1.
