Superb turnout for Lenasia Chess tournament




A vibrant, fun and intense Chess tournament was contested at Impala Crescent Primary School on Saturday, 22nd February.
More than 35 participants of various ages and skill levels applied their minds against each other in this ancient, yet popular strategic board game, with the tourney being officiated by Chess Arbiter Clive Mtunzi.
Prizes were on offer for the winners as well as for achievers in various categories.
The eventual winner was Karabo Teeke with runner-up being Tshediso Mpya. Category prize winners were Laiqa Jawoodien (Best Female player), Faraaz Mohamed (Best High School player), and Roshan Hoosain (Best Primary School player).
