In a sacred saying of Islam’s Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), he mentioned: “There is healing in the black seed for all diseases except death.”
The ‘black seed’ he was referring to is the seeds extracted from the Nigella Sativa flowering plant, also known as Kalonji, Black Cumin or Fennel Flower; found mainly in West Asia.
At present, our planet’s grappling with an unprecedented, rapidly-disseminating epidemic called Coronavirus. Scientists, researchers and medical professionals are frantically trying to create a vaccine that would immunize humanity from a virus that has literally brought economies and almost every person to a standstill.
US President Donald Trump, whose country is the worst affected, appears to be placing substantial hope in a substance called ‘Chloroquine’ to be part of an ultimate remedy against the pandemic.

He said: “We know all the precautions to prevent Coronavirus illness, but the question arises: What can one do if attacked by it? Is there any cure? Science is still working on it. After research, only few possible remedies have been suggested, but not of very much significance.
“The answer (though) can be found in the light of Islam, particularly the Hadeeth (quoted above). Aside from death, all other ailments can be treated well by black seed. So (then) how is it possible that Coronavirus is stronger than something that can cure anything but death?”
He continued: “Black seed oil’s been used in the Middle East for centuries as an alternative medicine, for hundreds of diseases known to man. The Prophet (saw) even declared it to be the greatest medicine of them all. Black seed oil contains over 20-30 vitamins and minerals that the body requires to function properly on a daily basis. “The Holy Prophet (saw) also gave a hint that additionally honey can cure illness, in another Hadeeth, where he said: ‘There are two cures for you: honey and the Quran’.”
