ADVICE TO THE 2020 MATRICULANTS - A life beyond 2020

The inescapable grip 2020 has had on us, is one that transformed society into helpless individuals who cannot outrun this disastrous year. It has especially had an effect on the Matriculants who had their sights set on a bright future, only to be stopped by this global pandemic. However, there are better days to come. The question is, “Where do you see yourself in ten years?”
Life without difficulties cannot be called life. It would be flavourless. Challenges are bound to come to every human being. It is how you deal with them that count. Persistence is a key ingredient in conquering any challenge. 
“Failure is a mother of all success.” – Pitbull. 
A stone cutter has to hit a rock multiple times before breaking is. Matriculants have been pegged back, but are no reason to give up. Putting in the effort now, working hard and never giving up will be the recipe to success in obtaining a good life beyond 2020. As the famous saying goes, “Tough times never last, only tough people do.”
Obtaining a good life beyond 2020 requires one to have a good job. Many of us have high expectations and that is the way to go. Do not hold back when pursuing your dream career, because when you are older, you will live in regret. Courage is the best of virtues, because without courage, one cannot pursue any other virtue.   
Many of us will be looking to settle down, go to university or get a job, but to have  a great life, one must build ones character. Before looking into the future, a person must look at himself in the mirror and rectify any flaws. 
Set your goals high and dream big. This is a motto every person should follow. The sky is the limit when it comes to ambition. Work every day, little by little and when you achieve your dream, the effort and struggles will grant you even more satisfaction. 
In conclusion, it can be said that this year was a strange, yet educational year. It has its pro’s and con’s, but those who turned this year into an opportunity of becoming a better person are those people that will succeed in life. However, those who did not take the opportunity still have a chance to grow stronger. A life beyond 2020 is up for grabs and the tools to getting there is in your grasp.
