A dramatic and tragic incident occurred at the Lawley Station near Lenasia yesterday morning (Tuesday, 6th October).
According to Lenasia SAPS Communication Officer Sergeant BP Ndimande: “It is alleged that a Star bus was loading commuters at Lawley Station and three unknown males, armed with rifles, approached the bus and shot the driver four times. The driver died on the spot. The suspects petrol bombed the bus and the driver was burnt beyond recognition.
“We urge the community to report about the whereabouts of the suspects at Crime Stop (08600 10111) or Lenasia Police Station at 011-213-6000 or free from the cellphone at 112.”
