The Lenasia Community Police Forum (CPF) is gearing up for an exciting weekend of fishing, fellowship and friendly competition when it hosts its highly anticipated CPF Fishing Competition at Modini River Lodge on 17 and 18 October 2026.
Set against the picturesque riverside surroundings of Modini River Lodge, the overnight competition will bring together anglers from across Gauteng for two days of outdoor adventure, great company and the opportunity to land some impressive catches.
Participants will also be fishing for their share of the prize pool, with cash prizes awarded to the top three anglers:
1st Place: R3 500
2nd Place: R2 500
3rd Place: R1 000
The entrance fee is R375 per angler, while pegs are available at R750 each.
The event offers much more than prize money. It provides a platform for community members to connect, enjoy the outdoors and support the positive community-building initiatives championed by the Lenasia CPF. Whether competing for top honours or simply enjoying a relaxing weekend on the water, anglers can look forward to an unforgettable experience.
Organisers are encouraging both experienced and recreational fishermen to enter and enjoy the spirit of the competition while embracing the values of responsible angling and environmental conservation.
With the event's motto, "Fish, Respect, Preserve, Enjoy,” participants are reminded to help protect the natural environment while enjoying the sport they love.
